Default GHL for C5

I've been looking at various cat back systems & narrowed it down to Corsa & GHL bullets.

I looked all over the net for GHLs, but nobody actually had them in stock. Talked to 2 different vendors & both said they didn't know what was going on with the company.

So I decided I'd shoot a email to GHL & see if I got a reply. Jeff from GHL emailed back & said, "they will be back in production with the C5 exhaust in approx 2 months."

Just FYI for anybody looking at adding exhaust.....

I found a used set on Craigslist and bought it immediately as it was a pre-China run and it saved me about $300. Sometimes you can get lucky.

be careful with that guy, I've seen a lot of threads with many pissed off people trying to get taken care of after receiving defective product... your best bet is to find a used set that has already been installed and verified to fit correctly

Production has been moved back to the US.

I'll believe it when I see new systems fitting properly and happy customers... until then I wouldn't believe what he says or do business with the guy but that's just me... I have corsa xtremes and happy with them but I always loved the tips of the ghl... at one point I considered buying ghl's and seeing which one I liked better but not after all the bad things I've seen on the forums... unless I can find a good deal on a used set, then I might give it a try

One of the vendors mentioned that quality went down the toilet when he moved production overseas & that he was told (from GHL) production was moving back to the states.

I'll rattle his cage with another email around Christmas for a status update.

I purchased a set, before I realized there were a number of issues.
My set had issues, however unlike other folks I had great service from Jeff.
I had replacement correct fitting parts set to me ASAP, with minimum disruption to me.

I do like the sound from the GHL exhaust, and no drone!!

I always see people posting "and no drone". Well mine absolutely did. The worst was right about 60-65 mph in 5th gear. Would scramble your brains.

Slight drone at 60 mph , that's why I go 70 mph or more.

From GHL Bullets? I've heard a set on nearly every HP level from bone stock to 600+ and never heard any drone at any speed in any gear.

Yes, from GHL Bullets. I took them off and am now running the Z06 Ti's.

No drone on my GHL Bullets.
Intake/Heads/Cam/Longtube setup.
I LOVE the sound.

Only other exhaust I would consider would be Corsa.

That might be the explanation.

I can add that it was a large size pain in the A$$ to assemble!
