I've had my '03 Z06 for about 3 months now. Love it. The tires on it are the F1's. They need replacing badly. I was thinking of purchasing two 18" rear wheels and putting them up front and running either 295/35 or 305/35 all the way around to square it off.
First, just double-checking that the 18"s with 305's would fit fine up front with no issues or rubbing. I turned my lowering bolts, other than that, stock suspension atm and for the next year at least.
And second, what's your opinion of this setup for a car that is driven 3 - 4 days a week?
I was thinking of either Nitto NT05 or Mickey Thompson ET Street tires.
A perfect square setup will cause problems with the computer. you need some level of stagger, at least 0.5" to 0.7" (varies by source) overall taller in the back. 0.7" to be safe. you can still do 18's all around though, it just comes down to tire size after that. more info here >>

No. No it wont/you don't. Maybe on some older gen C5's but even then, CF is the ONLY place I've ever heard or read about this happening. I don't know a single real person who has actually legitimately had a problem. EVEN if it did, you put the car in competitive mode or turn the nannies off and drive the damn car. You won't spin out and kill anyone; these car's are not that dangerous.
I've run taller fronts that rears (by a whole inch or more) and never had the computer get pissed.
YOU CAN run 295/30 (or 35's) on all 4 corners without AH/TC problems. However on my lowered car, running 295/35's did result in some wear on the lip of the fender and inside of the wheel well. You can't see it unless you look up from under the car...
Currently running Toyo Proxes P1 and freeking love them. Cheaper then the Nitto's and Michelin tires and are just as good (if not better) than the PS2's.
I wouldn't run a 305 on all 4's unless it was for track duty in which case rock on. But that's just me. 295/30 and 35 tires are a lot easier to find too. Common size for BMW's.

This is the first I've heard of the Toyo P1 on a Z06 - but looking them up shows they weigh 32lbs each vs the BFG Rival for example at 29lbs. That's 3lbs each wheel of added unsprung weight - the worst kind. Even for a street driven Z06 that's a lot I think.
Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of the Z06 being light weight?
I'm not trying to open up a can of worms here - just stating some facts.
