Couldn't you guys just agree to having different tastes in photo's and art. No need for the BS attacks at anything. Constructive advice is great, when asked for.
One can argue if the glass is half empty or half full, but in reality it's both.
Arguing your points on this, is like arguing on your subject. Time consuming, but solving what? Why not just go work on your type and be happy that everyone is trying to learn something they enjoy.
Just my unsolicited thoughts, carry on, if you must.

Why do you keep putting down members pictures? As said before if we all liked the same thing it would be very boring. Everyone has different tastes, Why can't you except that?

I didn't. I suggested using slightly less HDR effect to make a crisper picture that is more appealing.
I accept that people have different taste but I don't see why offering constructive criticism is a bad thing? Photography is a hobby of mine. I never knew to be conscious of certain things until people pointed out that they ruined my pictures. Instead of crying about it, I chose to get better and learn from my mistakes. There are always exceptions to the rules, but most photography basics hold true in most situations.
The good news is that a bad picture of a good subject is better to look at than a great picture of a poor subject, so I enjoy most C5 pictures.

OK, I agree.
Someday I would love to be a good photographer, One thing digital is cheap, Unlike film.
You're right. The first photo is a beautiful piece of art and the one I posted is just complete garbage.
You guys are really too much. This site seems to be nothing but a median for a bunch of guys to stroke each others ego. Most people like constructive criticism because it actually helps them get better at what they are trying to do.
What are you taking about???? I didn't say the one you posted was complete garbage. Maybe the choice of the word "horrible" for the background was a bit strong, but my point was you had a white car against an almost white background.
The only person on here talking about a picture being horrible is you. All I've been saying is you are trying to compare two completely different styles but calling them the same. That would be like saying a black and white picture is too bland, then showing a color picture to show how much brighter it looks.
I really don't know why you continue to take something small and blow it up to make it look like someone is irrationally railing on you. All three pictures in this thread are completely different styles and all are cool pictures. Neither one is "better" than the other.

I never said the picture I posted was HDR. I said it was also a very processed photo that almost looks like a rendering as it isn't natural, although, to my eyes, very good.
I haven't used the word "horrible" one time in this thread, until using it just now.
I never said the photo I posted was "better" than anything else either. I simply said it was done by a local photographer and would be good inspiration for those trying to produce nice images.
You are the one blowing things up and putting words in my mouth to try to help your argument. You've only made yourself look foolish by doing so.
Believe me I do appreciate all the comments received. The whole purpose of the thread was to thank Mr. Bill for answering my pm a few months back and putting me onto software I can do this with. For a 40dollar investment, I'm able to take a photo and work with it until it looks more like a painting than a photo. As I said before, I realize it's not for everybody but it's pleasing to me. My next project will be to take other photos of the car and process them in a similar fashion. That would allow me to then put together some of the better ones into a photo album as a keepsake. Anyway, thanks again Mr. Bill. By the way here is one more.
