Default A-Pillar Ground

I need to check the 201 ground location, as I believe it is causing my steering position sensor to throw a code when it is damp out in the mornings.

How EXACTLY do you get to this ground? Anyone have some step-by-step instructions?

Look inside the door jamb at the bottom.

You can pull the black 'accordion' plastic wiring cover back (near the drivers door hinge), and look inside the door jam, to see it (the ground).
But to get at it, to really un do it and clean it; you have to take out the left drivers side kick panel (by your left foot).
Then, you have access to it with a socket and extensions.
You need a good strong back to lay in there, to see and get at it.
Makes my back hurt, just thinking about it.....

That was the hardest ground to get at, when we sought to clean all mine, a while back. Hard because of the awkward way you have to lay, under the dash, turned towards the kick panel.... But, doable with a little patience, and ibuprofen....

At which locations do you remove the kick panel? I am afraid to just start pulling anywhere, because my luck it would break.

I think first to loosen the door sill plate cover. Note how it tucks over the kick panel, for when you put it back in.
then, a couple of torx head screws, then remove the cover for the hood release latch/lever.
i think one torx head screw in behind that cover.
then finally the kick panel just 'slides up'.
