Just install the LMC5. I have an 03Z and my Service Steering Column light came on yesterday which woke me up real quick. The warning can turned off by pressing the reset button, but it will come back on every restart. I had already bought the LMC5 but had not installed it. I just did that a couple of hours ago and it's pretty easy to do. It cleared that warning too.
