The hankook ventus v12's are on special still. I ordered a set for my Z and I have liked them so far for daily driving rain or shine. For the price you can't beat them.
I had a set of Kumos on a Z4 I had - after about 10 k miles they became almost as noisy the Goodyear run flats that came on the 'Vette.
I'm running a set of Hankook Evo 2's on the Vette now and so far I'm loving them. Just my 2 cents.
They did get noisy on my M5 towards the end of their life cycle, but have been great on the vette. It looks like I will also double the mileage life cycle as well.

They WERE sticky as hell - I was running 265/30/19's on the back and like every other Z on the planet I'd go thru rears 2 to 1 vs. the fronts.
So far I am loving the EVO's / running OEM spec sizes but THINKING of going to 19/20's if the budget allows at some point -

It appears the Ventus V12 evo in 245/45-17 (stock size for front of coupes/verts) that were on closeout special are the only ones available anymore. Rear for coupes/verts and both front and rear for Z's are no longer available.
Thanks laurent_zo6; but that isn't it. I appreciate your effort.
The thread to which you refer however does remind me that in the thread that I am thinking about, members were talking about how tires that are offered at a deep discount should alert prospective buyers to consider the manufacture date of the tires in question. There was some concern among members responding to the thread that the tires on special at the time were nearing their expiration date. A limited discussion surrounding tires and their date of manufacture, as it relates to their purchase by the end consumer, ensued.
In fact, one member who ordered the tires was encouraged to announce the date of manufacture of his purchase as soon as he received it so as to confirm the legitimacy of the offer for sale . He did in fact post the date of manufacture of the tires that he purchased; thus allaying fears of prospective buyers as the date on each tire reflected recent manufacture.
If anyone finds the thread in question I would appreciate it if you would append it to a post here in this thread.
