Default LS exhaust sounds

Exhausts are incredibly subjective, and I completely understand that. For some reason, though, I really don't like the way the ls7 sounds. One of the best sounding Vettes I've ever heard was an ls3 vette, but for some reason I've never heard an ls7 that I REALLY liked. Especially when it comes to modded cars, the 5.7's and 6.2's always sounds better to me. Anybody else notice this? Am I looney and tasteless? Feel free, if not encouraged, to post videos to defend your opinion.

I think they sound pretty good. I think mostly stock Ls1/2/3/6 engines do sound better, but with a fairly aggressive cam, I think ls7s sound really good.

Now that I think about it, I guess LS7s seem to sound more like race motors, a little less "throaty" on the lower RPMs, but sound downright mean at WOT. That's my opinion anyway

Really???

I respectfully disagree. Displacement and high compression, sounds like music to me!

having my C5 z06 since it was stock pretty much, and done all the mods my self...the headers made the stock Ti's sound to raspy so I installed a corsa indy cat back, sounds amazing and can turn heads, best combo out there

That is disappointing, I wanted to keep my Ti mufflers.

Comparing the first and second c5z's in physics dudes post to the next c6z completely shows my point. The c6z sounds good right at startup, but then not so much.

Some really awesome sounding cams there. Had an L-88 spec 427 in a '55 Chevy many years ago and would love for my 'Vette to have that cam lope and throttle response!!!!!! The motor was built, blueprinted, and balanced to exact L-88 specs. The cam was Chevy's Heavy Duty Parts list #2 Off-road, solid lifter cam and man was that mother mean!!!!!! The cam lope would actually rock the car when it was standing still!! What a ride!! Caveat......the wife (at the time) could drive the car consistently quicker than my best time, and she never let me forget it!! That little girl could flat out drive!!!!! Her daddy definitely raised her right!!
