Default Steering wheel lock

Hi all, was wondering if there is any way to find out if my 2003 vette with 6 speed has had any work done regarding the steering wheel locking up.

My 2004 Z06 is nearly 100% stock and the column locked. I didn't bother checking anything else, except to see if the LMC5 was already installed. My first modification was to install the LMC5.

BTW, the trick to unlocking the steering wheel, then pulling the fuse to keep it unlocked before installing the LMC5 is ACE.

Make sure you thoroughly read all the instructions before starting and follow them exactly. If you do that, it's easy and nearly foolproof.

Default Info

Ok guys, first thank you all for the info. upon checking I find my steering wheel does lock with no key in the ignition. I do have a lcm5 that I bought some time ago. I guess I will be installing soon even though I havent had a problem yet. Again thanks to all who replied.
