Someone called in sick so I Agreed to stay an hour late at work so a coworker could take his lunch break, and when I came out I find this happened to my vette. If I had left on time it wouldn't have ever happened (I saw my car 5 minutes before my shift ended) Messed up the mirror and door panel, but at least I have insurance.
Sorry to see that. Sometimes karma is on your side, and sometimes it isn't. Not long ago I ran into the pharmacy to pick up a prescription and when I came out a young lady was waiting by my car with her two children. She had hit my rear bumper when she was backing out, so she waited for me to come out so she could give me her insurance information.
Some people are asshats. Others you just want to give a hug.
Mostly yes. Down towards the bottom it's pretty bad and the mirror is worse off. Gonna try cleaning it up then see what insurance says.
Depending on the shape of the mirror (and the amount of your deductible) you might want to give Marc at Vettenuts.net a call. He might have one in the right color for you.
Bad news is it's quite gouged into the paint. There's no fixing without paint. The good news is that I got a call from my boss that he might have some info on the doucher who hit me!

Will update tomorrow when I know more.
Hope you get some help - - no cameras on the employee parking area?
There's a lot of these asshats out there that do this and think nothing of the guy on the receiving end of their poor driving skills. They take no responsibility for their actions. Poor upbringing is my first thought. It sux.

Now that I'm looking at it on a computer monitor, it does look a little worse towards the bottom. Can you get your fingernail into the marks or is it all raised feeling? Hopefully you can get it cleaned up. My suggestion would be to clay bar and polish and see what you have.
Too bad you aren't closer, I'd be happy to do it for you while talking to you about 911s

I'll happily talk about any car!
And sadly after cleaning it up you can see where it's too deep to salvage
Strangely I got a weird voicemail from my boss saying he had some more info on "the cat that might have tapped my car." Not 100% sure what he means on that though
Never park in one parking space when I park her. Will always take up 2 parking spaces, parking between them so no one can park nect to me where opening their doors will bang my car.
Always park as far away from everyone else as possible. Use the back of the lot.
Will not park where I cannot see my car over 5 minutes.
WIll threaten to kick the ***** out of any person's vehicle who parks too close to my car. Seriously.
SUV drivers are the worst. They take up over a parking space to begin with and door slams into the vehicle next to them they take as NORMAL!! Also watch for old pickups and beat up junk cars. They take pride in parking next to your car.
If you see anyone coming up and parking close to you on a cell phone, find another parking space. Especially if in an SUV!
