That's just you humming in enjoyment of your new car.
Seriously, it probably is your fuel pump.

I agree, it is the fuel pump. Not a problem, they do that from day one.

Yes, they all do. The owners tend to do the humming thing while driving as well.

Borla Stingers will get rid of that humming noise from the fuel pump. Not too much can be done with regards to the humming noise from the driver.

No, I am not a Borla salesman. I can just say from personal experience that Borla Stingers will get rid of (drown out) any mechanical noises that may be a bother.
On the other hand, I have also found that I can eliminate any unwanted noises (fuel pump, wheel bearing, wife, etc.) just by turning off my hearing aids!

Early C5s all have humming fuel pumps. I would not worry unless the humming stops.

If it gets loud, it's the fuel pump telling you to change the fuel filter.
Seriously, I noticed mine was louder than usual - but not all the time. Changed out the fuel filter, and back to normal. That was at about 60k miles, but it's a good thing to do anyway - makes sure the pump is not working unnecessarily hard.
