Hello all 'm new to the site, first post. Saw a 01 vert late summer at a local big 3 dealer 60k wanted 16k. First call they said there was a deal on it. Call back a week later they said it was out for some service work. A week or so later looked on the net and saw they raised the price to 18k. Called again they said they had a new water pump and harmonic balancer put on it. Few comments back in forth with sales person told him I wouldn't give more than 15k for it, he basically laughed I said you have my number. Looked on web early fall car was not listed, low and behold it was back on yesterday at 13.9k ad says Stability Track light is on. Just wondered what you guys think, run the other way or make a ridiculous offer and see what it could be bought for?

Make an offer, absfixer.com can fix it for $150, or fix it yourself. Search the forum for ebcm diy fixes.

Just my opinion, When I buy a car it has to be in 100% working order, Last thing I want to do is have to fix it at an unknown cost. Pull the codes, That will tell you a lot.

And if you don't know much about Vettes, consider having a good mechanic familiar with them to take a look at it for you. Could be the best money you ever spend on one.
