Default Good value?

Hey guys considering buying this gorgeous z06, do you guys think the price is fair? Seems like I could buy a C6 for the same cost you know?

You're right.. You can buy a C6 for the same price.. And end up with a less performing car.

I know i know. I heard the C5Z is a lot more aggressive driving. I know the 2004's tend to run a little bit more because of the carbon fiber hood. Do you believe the 38k miles and cobdition justifies the $25k price tag? P.s. that white z06 is sick man

You should check out Contes - not far from that dealership (an hour or so) but well worth the trip:

38k miles for $25k? A bit steep but still great value compared to any other sports car

It's a great place. Joe Conte is an honest guy. His inventory turns over pretty regularly (except for the older, higher priced stuff). Keep watching - you'll find a great deal. It's not like buying a used car.

I don't think it is a bad deal. It isn't anything to get excited about, but then again I won't buy from dealers. I don't believe in paying a premium to buy a car from a dealer.

The "for sale" section here is a much better option IMO.

unless i made over 150k a year and didn;t care about a few grand i couldn't see paying more than 20k for a c5z

just too many on the market. the low mileage cars go to rich people who don't mind paying. not a market i want to be in. the 50-120k mile cars sell in the teens

It's not a bad deal, it's not a great deal, I'd say it's full retail+. I picked up an '02 with 26k miles for 25,500. If you like the car and it checks out, figure out a number you're comfortable with and go for it. Point of reference, my not to exceed number was 24,500 but it was the *everything* I wanted so the extra grand was fine by me in the end...

Too high for those miles...at least in my area.

I ended up paying the dealer premium for mine but I will say this; they are a HARD car to buy in nice condition, esp from my private owner findings. I hate dealer pricing too as its always the high end. So much that after I put my deposit down I drove 7hours the next day to look at the next closest one in price, miles and value. It was one year older, had 14k more miles and looked like it had been through two wars. I went and finished the paperwork on mine the next week.

Everyone wants that 'deal' and what it should cost because someone found it once. It's not the norm and a real buyer who wants something nice will pay the few grand extra. It's honestly worth it by the time you add up the fixes.

My ONLY regrets are that I like to modify my cars and it would've saved me thousands buying one modified already. That and not holding out for the exact color I wabted. Again though after looking at a dozen used c5s, I paid that premium.
If your budget is only 16k, start looking at cars that normally cost 13-14 if you want a good one.

Just my $.02

Also that car would sell for more in my area. I drove a 29k mile 04 Z, asking was $28k. They wouldn't give me fair trade due to interest by customers on the Z. It was gone in a week and it took me another month to private sale mine for $9k more than the trade offer...pathetic.

A little on the high end, but C5 Z06s with low mileage are going for 20-27K.

Offer 24K and see if they bite.

Its a little high, but just my opinion. I just bought an 02 with 6500 miles SPOTLESS for 25k. Look around and try to get one with less than 20k on it. That's just my opinion.

Yep too high. Even it being a 2004. If it had 20K on the clock I'd grab it for that price.. I found some on auto trader 2003's not many but a few last week that had a clean carfax 1 owner under 12K miles for 25-26 $. The next day they get sold quick.

It is a little on the high end, but that car looks meticulous, the engine bay is cleaner and shows less oxidization on the AL bits than my 03 I purchased w/ only 12,xxx miles. If you could get it for $23-$24,000 I'd take it TBH

looks like a nice car, get them down a couple grand and you will be buying at a fair price... All stock is awesome..

Both owners had it for longer period of times, so it wasnt just flipped from one person to another.. might consider doing all the fluids if you get it, most owners dont replace fluids on a low mile car despite it bing 10 yrs old.
