Default Power seat memory

Can someone please tell me how to set the memory on my drivers seat? I think I've set it but every time I get in the car is moved to another setting. Thanks in advance for any help.

Then keep an eye on this thread because it's definitely supposed to hold the memory and someone will know how to do it.

All I do is set the position I want and hold the memory button on the door till it blinks, If you are using fob 1 hold button 1 on the door till it flashes and the same for fob 2 hold the memory button 2 till it flashes.

set seat position,Hold #1 button down it will start to flash, wait for light to be continous and listen for beep. make sure your fob is linked to the vehicle and don't mix the fobs. then test the memory by pressing the fob unlock, light for #1 should flash showing the memory is working

And remember that the number on the fob is more or less meaningless: the memory number that a fob is assigned to depends on the order the fobs are programmed, not the numeral embossed in the plastic case.

If you only have one fob, get the seat/mirrors/radio/etc set where you want it and save to both 1 and 2. (Or reprogram the fob to the car.)

I think u must lock the door when u exit the car, after u have set the seat as mentioned above or it will not return to set location when u get back in the car, in this case u just hit the memory 1 on the door panel and it will move to that setting but if u lock the car and unlock the car and get in when u put n key it moves to set location or at least my 01 does. Hope this helps.

Per the Owner's Manual:

The MEMORY buttons are located on the driver’s door,
above the power mirror controls. The MEMORY
buttons can store and recall settings for up to three
drivers. Use button 1 to store the settings for the first
driver, button 2 for a second driver or press buttons
1 and 2 at the same time for a third driver. To store your
memory settings:

1. Adjust your settings for the driver’s seat position,
outside rearview mirror positions, and telescopic
steering wheel (if equipped).

2. Press and hold a MEMORY button. The light above
the MEMORY button will glow steady for one
second and then flash once when the settings are
complete. Then the light will go off.

3. Set the climate control temperature, fan speed and
mode settings, radio presets, tone, volume,
playback mode (AM/FM, tape or CD), tape direction
and compact disc position.

Your memory settings are now programmed. Any
changes that are made to the audio system and climate
controls while driving will be automatically stored
when the ignition key is turned off.

When first entering your vehicle, after pressing the
unlock button on your remote keyless entry transmitter
or a MEMORY button, a recall of your settings will
occur when the door is closed and the ignition key is in
the ignition switch. As the memory settings are
recalled, the light above the button will flash until the
correct settings are achieved, then glow for five seconds
when complete.

A memory recall can be stopped by pressing any
memory seat, mirror or steering column position button.
Drivers 1, 2 and 3 correspond to the order in which
your remote keyless entry transmitters were
programmed. See Remote Keyless Entry System on
page 2-4 for more information.

Memory recall will not work if the vehicle is moving.

Memory recall will be temporarily interrupted during
engine crank.

If easy entry is on, you must press the MEMORY button
to reset the seat.

Vetteman nailed it. Read your owners manual if you have one. Follow the steps and it should work. Works perfectly for us. Nice feature.
