This is my 2000 Corvette today. It has gone from a totally stock
vette to a true Pro-touring vette in 10 plus years. I use it mostly
for the track (drag and Solo autocross). Most folks won't like the wing.
I have a diffuser and the wing compliments the diffuser and the other
aero parts. Downforce is my goal and lot's of it. I think I have
finished with the outside of my vette. It's ok if you think I am a
ricer. Everyone has a opinion and I wear a fire suit.
Nice! I like rear wings and if done right, can look really mean on a Corvette. I wouldn't sweat any ricer comments. Just about everyone has something done to their car that is technically "ricer," they just don't want to admit it.
The diffuser is custom. After I installed it, I had a lot more down
force . I talked to some of the guys at the track who had wings and
I was convinced that it would help me---and it did.
I applaud your dedication to the track and kudos for doing what you want in the name of functionality.
I gotta say though, ironically enough its the ZR1 style spoiler that is killing it all for me. Kinda takes the whole design from functionally cool to tacky add-on. Were you planning to remove that one now that you have the tall wing?

I am with you on the rear spoiler. I decided to talk to the tech
people at APR Performance ( they made the airfoil). I was ready
to take the spoiler off and they told me not to do it. The air that
flows off the rear glass is caught by the airfoil. Some of the
air flows underneath the "wing" and is caught by the spoiler,
making more downforce. The spoiler is not for looks but what
it will do for down force. I will keep the spoiler, even if it looks
stupid.
Can you give specifics on the suspension and engine build?
