Default Engine build help

I just cracked the #5 piston in my 04 C5 stock motor with a Procharger P1SC. So I planning on building a new engine and have a few questions. I was thinking about pulling my engine and doing a 383 stroker kit, but I also have a friend that will sell me a LS2 iron block for a couple hundred dollars.
If I build the 383 stroker kit with all forged internal will it handle 15 lbs of boost.

Or if I build the LS2 block up, how much of my current engine components will work on the LS2. Example I have a innovator West 10% overdrive Harmonic balancer, AR long tube Headers, ECS small supercharger cam, and what about the intake and injectors

I would love to go with the LS2 build, but I don't want to have to buy a bunch of new parts to make it work.

I also plan to have a set of 243 heads refreshed, ported and polished and I have set Comp Cam dual springs I picked up cheap.
and if I have enough money I get a better set of rockers.
I really appreciate any help. thanks in advance.

If it's an iron block it's not an ls2. It either an lq4 or lq9. Same cubic inch an an ls2 just an iron block and the lq4 is lower compression. All your current parts will swap over

my brother cracked his piston on his 02 z/28 Camaro running a single turbo kit with boost at about 11 psi....once he got the motor out of the car..the crack was much worse, it actually cracked the sleeve, .this was due to detention in his motor, just to much heat...he ended up getting a L33 block for a sweet deal, which is nice because the L33 has all the next gen setup in it...he also installed stock steam pipe's which came in the early ls-1 cars...his ls-1 did not have due to it having a ls6 intake on the car...

Default Iron blocl

It sounds like my best bet is to pick up the iron block and order a stroker kit for it especially since everything will swap over to it. I believe with the iron block I can do a 408 or 416, not sure which one it was I was reading about.

I'm not familiar with the steam ports actually this is the first I read about them, so I will definitely do some research about them. Is this something that should be added to high performance engine or is a newer technology that is built into the blocks.

I really appreciate the feed back and I'm sure to have more questions. Thanks
