Experienced a C7 for a week
All I can say is WOW!!
I'm not in the market to replace my C5 Z06...saving my pennies for retirement.
This is quite a car.
Automatic non-Z51.
Amazing performance.
I let some hard core Ford guys drive it....They were impressed to say the least.
I love my C5 but what a great car.

I'd like to know how to pull off a week too? Haven't been able to justify the car rental rates when I'm on business.

What a great opportunity you had. I wouldn't mind taking a C7 for a spin for a week. It would have a lot of miles on it by the end of that week.

Did the C7 interior not seem quite a bit tighter than your C5?
I've sat in a C7 coupe & in a vert (top up), and was really disappointed in the lack of legroom and just how overall size felt inside. I'm sure they drive great, just not sure if I could get accustomed to that cocoon-like interior.

I'd be interested in that same input. At 6'3" and 200#s I found the C5 to have plenty of room even for a helmet. The C7 I sat in at the SF car show was just about like a glove, not uncomfortable but not something I would expect to take tracking.

I also had a work related opportunity to drive a C7 for a week. Mine was a Z51 7MT Vert with MSRC. The car was magic, but honestly, not THAT much better than the C5. I'm 6'4", and the interior was much more cramped than my C5. I thought it might have been the vert, but I guess it wasn't. The Comp seats were incredible, and while the overall interior quality is outstanding, both my wife and I actually preferred my C5 in the end.
If I ever sell my C5, it'll be for a C7. But that's years off now.

Interior feels much tighter than my C5.
I have leather Corbeau A4 seats in my Z06.
The C7 seats are tighter than the A4's.
Worst when wearing my winter coat. With just a T-shirt it's good.
I'm 6' 2" 195 lbs. 33" waist.
Not as much headroom compared to my Z.
Tonight, I'll give it the helmet test and post.

Listen, just buy the car as a companion to the C5, consider it a retirement investment you can actually reap some benefit from. Put your savings in the stock market and watch it magically disappear. At least you will have a physical asset with the C7.
I really like that garage picture. Nice.
