Competition Driving Mode Question

Can someone explain how competition driving mode works? Does it cut power to the rear tires?

From what I was told, when you put your Corvette in competitive mode you are shutting down the Traction control but keeping on the Active Handling.

This is correct. And the way Active Handling works is by cooperating with the ABS system to apply brakes on individual wheels when the situation demands it .. ie. when the driver's intent deviates significantly from the car's behavior.
Active Handling does not cut power or affect engine performance.

...but in Competition mode, doesn't the AH allow a little more oversteer before it kicks in??????????????
