Depends, some wheels come off without too much of a fight but there are some horror stories where some hav destroyed their stock wheel during the process, just make sure you have the right tools.
My insurance adjuster had no issue with my wheel swap just make sure your up front with Em.

I'm also running a Momo, it took a few days to adjust but I wouldn't swap back for nothing in the world, Nice choice everything looks great, as far as your sticking clutch pedal if your doing a clutch sw depending on the set up you choose it will probably solve your problem without having to switch the MC, when my Mcleaod RXT was installed several years ago it solved every issue I ever had
I'm going to hold on the MC and change the clutch, thank you for the great info.
To run a steering wheel like that, what do you have to do to not have problems with the deleted air bag? I've been contemplating a similar mod to my car, possibly using a C6 wheel with the radio/bluetooth controls. The problem is on e-bay a C6 airbag is ridiculously expensive so I've thought of just eliminating it. The Momo looks very good too. Does the horn and all other functions work properly?
I just fallow a few threats on the forum, the horn works I made sure it works Miami drivers can't drive and for the airbag I just solder a resistors got like 8 left if you need one just shoot me a PM ill sent you one or two. The hardest part was to get the steering wheel out,I used the GM legs but I belive someone over torque it before me because I had to go old school on it. Besides that everything is straight forward. I have a PDF for the removal, let me know if you want to check it out.
Oh I destroyed mine!! It was over torque or something.. 3 hours later, I was extremely careful, because I didn't want to damage the splines.. so you might need a little patience.. at the end of the day.. the splines were perfect..

I really like the steering wheel. Which Momo model is it? The website goes by "Mod". Also, is it a direct replacement for the stock steering wheel?
Thanks....
Is a Momo Eagle EAG35BK0S, I'm using a NRG short hub and quick release. I like it because the wheel is in the same factory location..(Distance from me)

Finally! I've been eyeing this steering wheel for a while, but have yet to find someone that actually installed it...let alone in a C5! I like it a lot. How's the color and material match the rest of the interior?
Is a lighter black than the interiror dash, but you can bearly notice.
Yeah I like your wheel so much I'm thinking about changing mine out again, the cool thing is after the initial stock wheel removal it's a piece of cake changing Em out, and new wheels are not that expensive so you can swap whenever the mood strikes ya.
Car is looking great

I was not going to post this, but purposely deleting an airbag, will definitely void any attempts at collecting insurance, whether you are at fault or someone else. You would be hard pressed to find a shop that would remove an air bag, for liability reasons..
Removing the air bag is just one simple way for an insurance company to void your insurance.
While the MOMO is nice, I would not put my liability, insurance coverage or financial security at risk.
Insurance underwriters file insurance rates based on DOT factory safety features, remove any of those features and your car become disqualified.
Just a heads up.

Completely untrue. Each policy has its own parameters and each state has their own insurance laws. A blanket statement like that is simply wrong.
