[Z06] tire date code question

tire date code question
I know how to read the codes to determine age of tire, but what about a tire with DOT and then no numbers but letters??? tire is bridgestone fusion (no longer made) that was made in Japan. I will contact company but was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on this. Also 1 i tire was at least 2 years old when I got it new and a replacement, got for a nail puncture, was who knows as it has the letters. they are at least 5 years old from when I bought them and have been good wearing tires with no issues, but just saying??????
