I saw these on a C6 and I already had the aftermarket lights so a local guy tinted and cleared them.

Those do look nice. I experimented with that concept several years ago and got ate up by members on this site for various different reasons. Here's what I tried.

both look alright to me

Most people are gonna drop dead in their tracks in 2020 when the rear engine C8 comes out. I say, bring on the cheap Ferrari

It looks like they are the Adjure C6 LED tails that he mounted and wired up.

Looks like he also put them behind a smoked lense to fill in the extra oval space to hide the left over gap. Hadn't seen anyone put C6 tails on a C5 like that before.

That does sound like it very well could be what c5Rclone has done/could work. But if so Im wondering then why he mentioned having them cleared and Tinted... And I also haven’t seen anyone else do this to a c5 and I think it really modernizes the rear of the car coupled with a nice LED 3rd break light.

No it shows through the tinted part but obviously it's much brighter in the clear section.
