So a friend of mine said he would wrap my car for me. I am going to order the wrap, I already know what color I want but I'm not quite sure how much to order. Has anyone wrapped a coupe and know exactly how much I should order?

Get in touch with forum member MarkyMarkGTM - he did a complete wrap of his vert and he may have an idea just how much vinyl you would need for a coupe. His turned out great so he might also give you some recommendations for avoiding any problems.
Haven't seen him on the forum for quite a while, so you may have to see if he has an e-mail address linked to his forum profile.
Let us know how it works out. I want to wrap my car. The paint is starting to lose its luster and I have been wanting to wrap my car in 3M Matte White.

Will do. I'll be sure to take pictures while he is doing it and post a thread on it. My paint is awful. 2002 car and unfortunately I didn't have a garage to keep it in so the paint has taken a beating. I'm moving to a place with a garage this month so I was going to just get a paint correction done but I figured changing the color would be way better. My car in general is going to be going through quite the transformation in the next year so I may do a full thread on it.
I have done some carbon-fiber vinyl wrapping on my Vette, but not entire body panels. I would think the front bumper, headlight covers and maybe the hood could take a beating and it is not much fun to remove.
You have to remove the bumpers and some body panels to wrap it correctly... will definately take some time an patience.
about half done on wrapping my c5. i went with the 3m. ordered 50x5. i think i might need a little more before im done, but then again i had to scrap about 4 panels worth in the learning process.

Awesome, that helps so much. Thank you.
My friend has done a ton of wrap jobs so hopefully he doesn't screw up. I'll double check and see if he thinks I should order some extra.
Hard to tell from the picture but what color did you pick?
It's the matte grey aluminum 3m. 475 for 50x5 on Amazon. I already had most panels off the car so it made it easier to wrap around them. I prob have about 2-3 hrs into each panel. It's getting easier as I go just because u start to learn how the vinyl works. I've been doing it mostly by my self. I'll post some more pics.

I actually almost went with a matte grey but decided on a different color. I can't wait to see how it comes out though.
Just finished wrapping my 911. The vette is the work table in the background. Lol. Almost same sized car and I used about 50-60ft that did not include the roof or hood. I'd order at least 80. Better to have some extra for those "oh ****" moments

After hearing the guy mention 50ft I asked my friend and he suggested 65 to be safe. I am doing the B pillar and top glass with a separate color too, so I am just accounting for the bottom half essentially. For that I will just order however long the pillar is.
Seems common to diy wrap your own car. I wonder how rock chips look on the front bumper when wrapped. I may try my car one day.

Material cost isn't too bad, it'll probably be $650ish total? Don't quote me yet since I have to search more and compare prices still. I'm just going to pay my friend to do it because he knows what he is doing. Although, I may have him do it for less since I'm helping...I'll at least send him an invoice for my assistant services.

Btw, do you do wraps often? That came out good.
Thanks. This was my first, and last. Took forever.
