[Z06] First Mods on 02 Z06?? Need Input.

First Mods on 02 Z06?? Need Input.
Looking for some mod ideas for an 02 Z06. Right now, its BONE stock with the exception of a Kirban shifter.
Looking strictly bolt-on and nothing really significant (ie - headers/y-pipe yet). Thinking more along inductions work or x-pipe. Looking to drop a few hunderd bucks ($250-$700) into her and wanted to know what some of the first things I should be looking at.
Note: Not big on the track scene but do play on the street SOMETIMES, so tries are not a priority at this point.

This is a tough one. It's YOUR car .. what do you want to do? My only real mod has been the CAGS defeat and some chrome wheels. By your post count, you're relatively new here. I'd suggest searching previous posts, especially in the C5 Tech and Z06 sections, and see what others have done. Also check sigs. Lots of folks put their mods and RWHP there. Don't believe all the advertisers' claims. Whatever you do, have fun and be careful.

For light performance mods, most people seem to put a cold air intake, headers, cat-back exhaust, short throw shifter, dyno tuning, which all differ among owners, and CAGS.
In addition lowering the Z06 seems to be a big thing too.
Myself, I've done all but the headers. The only reason I haven't done the headers is because of the big mods that have come to light recently, such as the TT setups, which I've been considering for my Z06.

Welcome,
I recommend a different than stock airbox, shifter, lower using the stock bolts, CAGS!, and learn to drive the car more. Basically that's what I did. For disabling the CAGS, using the Radio Shack method for less than a dollar!
