These instructions should give you an idea of what is involved.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with your area at all. If you have a Corvette Club local to you, you could always check with some of their members on who they would recommend to work on your car.

From what I understand, the project looks more complicated than what it really is. But if you don't feel comfortable taking your dash apart, best to leave it to a trained technician.

Wish you were closer, I would be glad to help. I know of a great shop in Summerville if you are interested.

What is your problem exactly. If you are going to go into the IPC you need to have the parts most likely to be the cause or you could be down for a while.

the scan revealed bad dic button #4. He said that it could be jammed but it wouldn't be smart to take apart The ipc unless you had the part. good luck with that. salvage seems to be the way to go. What do u think.

Suggest you get another DIC switch from Marc at VetteNuts.com

These guys could do the work, they are professionals and know the C5. They could do this in about 2 hours.

Above and Beyond Auto
In Summerville on 17 A about 2 miles from I-26
Martin and Ricky
843-608-8759

PS: make sure they verify all the button lights are good before they finish. If not that would be the time to swap some from the old switch. There is one bulb for every two buttons.

It is also smart to invest in a Factory Service Manual...a wealth of much needed info for the DIY person and well worth the money spent.
