The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Can't be that much different
I used to be a bodyman but I'm not going to change the back cover.
I like the C5 cover.
Both ebay ads don't say anything about a different back cover.
If I can't trim it and/or do something to make it fit I'll return it.

Note: zr rear diffuser requires the zr edition rear bumper"
Good luck with your "mod."
I'll wait and see when I get this diffuser as to what I can do.
Bodywork and fiberglass is no problem for me.
I may consider cutting the stock bumper cover.
That's one option
Or I can return this one then cut and remold a non carbon fiber one to fit.
Then carbon fiber it.
I've been wanting to do some of my own carbon fiber as per this thread
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...h-brplatz.html
This may be the part to do it to,
make lemonade out of my mistake.

Obviously I should have done more research

You can purchase direct through them or through Pete (Quik ZO6 / Corvette Creationz) who is one of their distributors.

We press mold SMC and composites
I know what steel tooling costs.
Hand lamination molds are cheap to make and you can turn them over 3 times a day.
Vacuum forming with fiberglass molds might be good for this for medium level production of maybe 6-10 parts a day.
You make a plug (the shape) finish it like bodywork to a shine, wax and PVA mold release then flange it add a gasket channel and make 2 halves one at a time, frame it, box it, backfill it with resin and roofing rocks.
Add in out ports.
Load the mold with dry fiberglass, pull a vacuum and pour the resin in
through a funnel.
This kind of low budget tooling can be made in a garage or a light industrial unit.
