I totally understand where you're coming from and it makes sense from a business standpoint and I do wish you success... unfortunately I had a horrible experience in the past so I cannot do business with him again

Here's a new C5 diffuser, hybrid C5 and C7. I wish if someone is going to take time to develop and money to invest they would do a little homework as to what will look good. Some may like this but I think it's an abomination. It was posted in the "C5 Vendor For Sale" section 7-6-15 with not a single post by a member. They should have at least posted in General where it could be viewed, who knows...someone may like it....maybe not.

I don't think it looks that bad. If everything was painted to match the car with the exception of the vents and lower portion where it curves in, it would actually look alright.

Well hopefully Petes people get the molds/production right seems like its hit or miss with him. And i agree something like this should be handled with care like a child from start to finish. I just hope the finished product isn't a crap fitment and teh ball gets dropped at the end. No disrespect Pete

Totally different manufacturer, trust me these guys do high end work. I sell their C7 lip kits and never had a complaint (and a carbon set is $2k)

No just this for now. I'll eventually make more stuff with these guys as we progress, but parts will them will always cost more. With that said the parts we make with these guys really need to be a home run to justify the cost to make them.

I knew this was out there way before I embarked on this projecr. If you followed the past threads on this subject people where wanting a diffuser that would mount to the stock rear bumper fascia without cutting or drilling. They wanted to keep the look of the C5 with the added look of a diffuser. Pete does sell both the Zr bumper and the GT500 diffuser you posted but if you figure in the cost of the bodywork and paint you are looking close to 2 grand. You can get the carbon fiber diffuser that is coming and bolt it straight on the day you recieve it for half the cost. Just taste and personal preference.

Agreed! Just about any diffuser will work on that rear bumper, but add the cost of body work and paint and its a totally different ballgame. I've had that rear bumper on my old Z for years and people were against the "C6 look"!

Yes an Extreme Dimensions ZR rear bumper and any C6 diffuser on Extreme Dimensions website will fit, Duraflex or Carbon. The setup above is less than $1k shipped. Considering your diffuser project is $699 for pre-orders plus shipping we're not talking about a lot of difference in parts. Probably not a deal killer with added cost to paint ZR bumper either.

You should have presented all options available a long time ago if you had this. I posted links on post 197 in this thread of this being possible but you know what they say, One Good Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words!! I've been in sales over 23 years and know all too well that "awareness of what is available" is key in moving product to customers. Additionally ask anyone in marketing and they'll say PICTURES SELL.

There is a black C5 with this ZR rear bumper and a factory looking C6 diffuser mounted to it about 3 pages back in this thread. It has Euro plates on the car.

I'll bet that with the ZR rear bumper you could install any number of C6 diffusers available on the market.

I for one hate C6 "round tail lights", however the ZR rear bumper uses C5 rear lights and to me that is what makes the C5 rear end more appealing than the C6.

I wasn't going to post in Robs thread my stuff for sale when he was making a custom piece. I've said it many times here that the ZR rear would accept any C6 rear diffuser. That rear has been out for like 4-5 years already. If anyone wanted one we offer better pricing than extreme Dimensions
