Default Door Locks Not working

Hey guys,

I've read it on here be somewhere. And i can't remember what the remedy for that forum member was. So long story short I got a 01 Z this passed summer, everything was perfect until I took it to the auto parts store one morning, (about a week into ownership) and NEEDED to lock the doors for the first time... when you hit the button you can hear the motors working, and if you dont look at the locks you think there locked, BUT they down move. If I lock them by hand an hit the un lock button, I belive on the drivers side will unlock, BUT again neither will lock. Oddly enough the truck button on the remote pops the trunk lid, and the panic button works. Also is I manually lock it and use my key the alarm goes off. Any ideas ??? Do I need to go into the indash menu and change something? is it the remote? or is this a dealer issue?

thanks guys!

If you search on the Forum you will find many posts on this problem and the many solutions. Could be something as simple as loose pins in the inside accordion tube in the door jamb area.

Also, when you unlock...one press of the remote key will unlock drivers side only by default...2 presses will unlock the drivers and passenger locks.
