I made mention in previous posts about a "mystery wire" in the console of my 2000 FRC. I removed the console yesterday to yank the climate control unit (will soon be on its way to TSTAR for some new backlights). I snapped some pics of the wire - 3 conductor blue-orange-grey. One with a piece of white paper behind it and another "just laying there" so you can get the context of what else is in that area (the white plug is what came out of the climate control). Any takers?
That may be it - I do not have magnetic ride on my car (amen!)
Nobody else does before 2003 either. Magnetic Ride Control was first introduced on the 03 models. Does the wire reach the area where the Real Time Dampening switch would be by the traction control switch in the earlier cars? The FRC didn't have the F45 (RTD) option either, which works through electronic control (not magnetic) of valves in the shocks. I'm not sure if the connector was installed anyway or not.

Ah, didn't realize there were two different variable-damping systems, don't have either one on my car. Since they had to have wiring going to that area on all cars anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if they used the same harness.
But no, I'm not going to take my console apart (again) to check.
