Borla vs Corsa
On my last C5 a few years back I had Borla cat backs and LOVED the sound...sounded kinda old school...nice low rumble...
The C5 I just bought has Corsa and truthfully I do not care for the sound...kida ricey if you ask me...
I am curious to know what you guys prefer etc...
I have a nice set of stock that I took off to install the Borlas a few years ago and am tempted to put them on as I just don't like the Corsa sound...
Those are off an 04...will they bolt on to a 2000...???

Yeah, the other OEM set should fit just fine.

i have lg long tubes into corsa indy exhaust and i really could not be happier..with the supercharger setup the car sounds amazing...ZERO drone...i have my stock Ti's and those with my long tubes sound to raspy imo

I am running the Borlas because I prefer the deep rumble. I have cam with long tubes and love it. Sounds like an old muscle car from the 60-70s but its a nice clean vette! Best of both worlds in my opinion.

Never had a Borla system, but I have the Corsa Indy Pace Cars on my car now and absolutely love he sound. That's why they make different brands of catbacks, so they can appeal to all tastes.

Don't know exacly what they are other than they are Corsa...how can I tell...???
I do know that he said it has a Corsa X pipe as well...
I am leaving in an hour or so to go pick it up...this week I will get it up on the lift and get some pictures...
Just to clarify...I bout a 2000 coupe about 3 weeks ago because the vert that I REALLY wanted was not ready for sale and I needed a car...
The vert became available so now I am going to pick it up today and the coupe becomes for sale...
Both cars have Corsa cat backs on them and , for me, I don't care for the sound..
I am an older guy and prefer the old school rumble from my V8s

Well...my verdict is in...I do NOT like these Corsas at all!!!
To me it sounds like a Honda Civic with a FART CAN on the exhaust...
And that popping and bubbling sound when I back off the throttle...NOT FOR ME...
If anyone watching this thread wants these they will be for sale shortly as I hate them with a passion...
Not to mention the attention they draw...I live in a small town, NOT the big city, and when I get on it I feel like I am announcing to the world "Hey, look at me speeding!" LOL
I don't need quiet but more of a REAL V-8, muscle car sound like my Borlas used to have...
I have a set of stock pipes that I will put on til I can get some Borlas so if anyone is interested in these let me know...
I am not too crazy about shipping them but we will see...

post a pic and we can tell you what they are... personally I love my corsas, they absolutely scream at wot but they do have a higher pitch and a more exotic sound which isn't for everyone... I have never had anyone who has seen my car in person tell me that it sounded bad though, maybe they were just being nice
... check to see if it does in fact have an x-pipe... if it doesn't I bet part of your problem is the factory h-pipe, if you swapped that out for an x-pipe you might like them a lot better... the h-pipe will create the gurgling noise you speak of, much like a boat motor idling in the water... an x-pipe will eliminate the gurgling noise but chances are you will still get a popping on decel... borlas will give you a much deeper tone but at wot they fall flat in my opinion
