I rented a C7 Stingray for the weekend and drove to the coast, well should I say flew to the coast. By far the best driving experience i've ever had. I can not beleive the way this car handles, they say it has 460hp but it feels like a lot more. Anyway just thought i'd share. P.S. destroyed a new GT mustang, the look on his face when he caught up to us was priceless and worth the $375
if you like a car that looks like something in a cartoon, worst that camaro and both belong in tramsformer movies which might be why the <40 ground likes and many in the >50 don't and those in between are on the fence. my 2 cents.

Right, that's why the first guy here to get one was a retiree and the things are flying off lots to all age groups... you realize that most in the under 40 crowd aren't loading C7s up to $70k, right? If you don't like the way it looks, that's fine, but it isn't an age thing, it's a matter of different taste

At 65 I would love to have a C7, but I am enjoying the C5 too much right now to make the switch. Perhaps in another year or two.
I can tell you it's not about the HP's,, it's about the whole car, you won't know what i'm talking about till you drive one,, Transformers?? Are you kidding me right now....
Avis, it's in the Excalibur hotel 375 per day unlimited mileage, that's full insurance too, we put 900 miles on her in two days. From Vegas to Newport Beach to San Diego down PCH
If I was going to invest in a C7 it would be a Z51. I love the way the Z06 looks, but I would not buy a track car with 650HP to drive it.
I don't race or track so I dont need to be a snub show off. I wonder if GM will produced a "Grand Sport", a LT1-Z51 with a Z06 look; that would make a bad *** looking Corvette.

How much faster from the C7 Z51 is the C7 Z06?
It is irrelevant since you don't "race or track". So......just concentrate on how "cool" it looks
I suppose that may be true if a peak hp number defines a car, in your opinion. I'm a bit more intrigued by the handling and braking ability of the C7. 650 is nice, but 460 is also pretty damn nice considering it becomes more of a point and shoot versus a throttle management dance on a road course. Plenty of people can handle 500whp car going straight, few can truly handle it turning and braking.
Perfect C7 to me would be Z07 body/aero/brakes with no infotainment/removable roof, some weight reduction and a 505hp n/a 6.2 liter. Then again, as a mid 30's car enthusiast/builder I'm not the buyer GM targeted with the C7Z, so makes sense it misses the mark.
