Default Thinking about adding stripes.

I'm considering adding a set of vinyl stripes to my car. I've been looking at VetteStripes (forum vendor) GT1 just to break up that vast amount of yellow I have!!

I won't install these, let the pros do it. But my questions are as follows:

*Removal - Are they difficult to get off if I don't like them?

*UV - Do I need to worry about the paint fading differently? (Car will be in a garage with a cover 95% of the time)

Thanks!

BTW - The pic below is what I'm thinking of, or something similar. I like the addition of the silver to help break up all the yellow and black.

Good thought, but I'm not a fan of them on my car. I've seen white C5's with red or blue stripes and just loved them though!

I think some black stripes down the middle, two about 3" wide each might look pretty sharp.

Do it - stripes would look great on your car. Talk to Mike at VetteStripes about removal - I'm sure they can be taken off without much difficulty.

That's pretty cool... You might consider just doing the hood and back and blacking out the top..
Removal is a piece of cake... warm it up with a hair dryer and take it off.

It's funny the ruts we fall into. High school in 74' had a 69' Camaro SS w/stripes. Then a 70' GTO, fell asleep, wrecked, repainted w a design on the hood then a 78' TA, did a similar pattern to the hood...

It's just allot of yellow and I really want to add something to break it up.

Kinda like chrome wheels, going down that road soon too!

I am mostly just teasing you but chrome wheels will never go away. No matter what the black looks like lost hubcaps wheels guys say. They just say chrome wheels are done because they know black wheels are on the way out now. If you like the stripes do it. But not everyone will like it. For me it's too retro on a modern car.

Blacked out halo and black fender hashmarks might look cool...black wheels with a polished lip might look nice too.

I would do it immediately...really you are correct about your Corvette being just a sea of yellow. This would add interest to an otherwise boring looking car. IMHO since you asked.
