Default 2002 z06 Wheels?

So, I'm currently stationed in South Korea, but in a couple months I'm coming home and will be getting an 02-04 z06. I found one on CarGurus that I'm really interested in. I noticed, however, that the wheels aren't the standard wheels I see on most pictures of the z06. I tried to upload a picture (first timer here), but if it doesn't show up, it has the polished aluminum 5 spoke rims I've seen on some coupes and convertibles. So my question is, was there an option for these to come on the z06 from the factory or is this for sure something that was added later? Also, are they the same size as the normal z06 wheels, as I know that can have an effect on performance. Any help is appreciated!

No not an option and different size wheels, tires may be correct size. Some guys like the look of these better and and cost wise option I guess vs CCW's or equal!

I'd look further into why those wheels were put on since as mentioned they are smaller than the stock size. If it's running the stock size tires then theoretically they are too small (narrow) for those tires. That would lead me to think maybe the owner had to change the wheels due to damage. And if a wheel was damaged then why? Was there some kind of accident? Maybe that's thinking too much about it but nobody buys a Z06 to just blend into traffic. Once in a while you're going to get on it, maybe one time a little too hard and something happens. In my opinion when people want to upgrade the appearance they buy wheels that are larger and more expensive. I think they would buy wheels that are smaller and cheaper because they were in a jam and had to, maybe why the car is for sale. This is all my speculation.

Very true. I will be getting in contact with the dealership today and do a little investigating. Do you guys happen to know what size those wheels are? I looked, but couldn't find a definitive answer.

Default wheels

It was only after i bought mine that i noticed my 03 wheels were chrome and those only came on 04. Plus two of them are fakes. I knew the car had been in a fender bender but once i figured out the wheel situation i feel the car was hit harder than i first thought. Those wheels are traditionally smaller than z06 so kind of a red flag. Either a cheap fix or the owner didn't know what they were doing. ..

There were no chrome Z06 wheels from 01-04 Z's, except for polished wheels on the 04Z commemorative editions. Now if they are in fact Speedlines and they were chromed, they were chromed aftermarket.

The polished have a different finish/sheen to them from chrome.

I thought the 01 had a natural finish forged wheel and the 02 had a cast chromed wheel.

The 01 Z wheels were forged aluminum and the 02-04 Z wheels were cast aluminum...all in a light grey/argent color, with the exception of the 04Z CE wheel, which were polished...
