I was ready to buy the quick lift but I didn’t like the no access to the side, also I thought 1300.00 would be a big step towards tires. My ramps where the car sits are 2x12 6 inches on center all 2x’s are glued and screwed, wrapped with 7 ply 5/8 plywood also glued and screwed. As you can see from pic’s I have a layered 2x6 for jacking. I know some of you get nervous with wood ramps/supports; this thing is strong enough for a bulldozer. It never even creaked when driving up on it. It was a breeze to install my headers. (21 inches clearance) the center section and the ramps use a French cleat system for easy removal.
I been using scissor jacks from a fbody. Trying to get a few more but basically it's a mini lift I put one under the front driver and the other on the rear passenger. Put a socket on my air gun and it lifts up instantly then use jackstands. Takes about 30 seconds to lift the whole car.
I made a pair of ramps that look like what SupervetteC5 look like. I have not had a problem with them sliding, yet. I set up some blocks so that they will not slide.
Built my own yesterday. Don't want to tear up front air dam rub anything. They have to be long in order to accomplish that. Can easily and safely get under the front of the car using them. However, when changing the oil, you really need the car level or slightly higher in the rear because drain plug is in the front of the pan.
Can't tell by your pic but it looks like your side boards are on the side of the top board, like I said just going by your pic, but the top board should be on top of the side boards. A lot stronger without the chance of collapse. Just my two cents worth, but worth a whole lot more is your life !!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, they were originally built as a two piece set up for each side. Too much movement like that so the side boards were added later. All the support is under and between the side boards. Made them a little heavy but they are very stout.
