I was pulling out of parking sport with curb on passenger side. Did not realize I had not cleared curb and scraped the lower rocker panel in front of rear tire area. It does come up a bit into vision when you get down on your
knees to look.
Before I take it into paint guy would anyone know if a set of side skirts would cover this up. From pictures I seen they all look like they might not come up enough to cover that area.
If anyone has pictures close up or even better video of install that might help me determine if this would cover the area.
FWIW, I just had a rocker panel replaced on my wife's Vert. 8 weeks, we finally have the car back, but the step plate has yet to be put on. One small, agonizing, additional part purchase at a time.

Thanks for any input.
Touch up paint. In that location you will be the only one that knows it's there. Unless you want to spend a bunch of money.
I feel your pain. Did similar thing on the very day of last wash before the winter nap. Mine was driver side front lower panel behind tire and pretty much 3/4 down the rocker panel. Just back from the body shop. Wet Sanded, a bit of filler, I suspect, and paint. 6.5 hour charged job. $750.00 canadian. Can't even tell there was a problem. Good luck deciding what you're gonna do.
Will run you around $500-600 at a high end body shop, including clear coat. You will not be able to tell it was ever repaired! Anything short of having this done professionally will bother you if you take pride in your car.

Ran up to local body shop that has a good reputation. He quoted me $376 which sounds good. He said they would repair with fiberglass type filler, prime, paint and clear coat. He told me that he would remove the rear brake air duct to ensure the job is done right. He has a backlog of two weeks so I will just have to wait on doing my complete detail job.

That sounds great and I'm sure they'll do a fine job. You'll be happy in the long run that you took care if it the right way instead of trying to cover it up or do it on the cheap.

Hit a pot hole, you had to sit down to see the scrape,
used touch-up paint and a week later it was forgotten. This
thread just reminded me, it was a couple of years ago.

Right up until he puts another ding on it. If you drive these cars you aren't going to keep them perfect.

I scraped a high curb. Touched it up and I am the only one that knows it's there and I have to look hard to see it. I was really upset when I did it but time heals.

Do yourself a favor and wait a couple of weeks. If you still feel the same way, go for it.
Might help you feel better... drove to town last week to just rinse the car off to start detailing for show in April. I had buffed out the rear deck and the hood...perfect! On the way home I met some trucks...three is a row...ROCK trucks...I slowed down to about 35 they weren't hauling *** either so I really didn't think too much about it...never heard a thing...but, when I got home I noticed these little tiny white spots on the front of the hood and on the windshield...I have seen these lots lately because of buffing and slinging some of the liquids, I'm using to finish the car...I thought they would just wipe off...WRONG they are freaking chips in the clear..... My pristine hood and windshield now have about 40 tiny chips..........d&*^ it. I am hoping I can buff some of them out of the hood... the windshield is just something I'll have to live with.

Mine has it too. Passenger side in front of the rear wheel...scraped about 10" long, and it's right on the radius of where the rocker curves under the car. Standing next to the car you can't see it. Stand back about 10 ft, follow the body line on the bottom of the rocker and you can see that the edge is "rougher" in that area.
My wife and kids think I'm all OCD about it and that it's really no big deal. Especially since (thank God) the SMC material is white and it pretty mich blends in with my Speedway White paint. I still cleaned it up as best I could and then put touch-up on it. It bugs me more than anyone else. I can tell you that 99% of people wouldn't ever notice. It bugs me just because I know it's there. Definitely not going to subject it to a $$$$ body shop bill, however.
It just goes to show...before I got this I was too busy drooling over any C5 that I saw to notice anything relatively minor like this. Now that I have one you tend to nit-pick every little flaw...that most people can't tell or don't care about anyways.

I understand all too well.
There is a rock quarry a few miles down the road from me. I stay away from the rock trucks I have to follow, but can't avoid the trucks coming at me. It is not just the rock trucks either. The rock trucks drop gravel and sometimes the highway is pretty bad. Not only the rock trucks, but other vehicles kick it up too.
I try to be pretty careful, but one got me good last year. A couple of chips on the front and in the windshield.
My front tires also kick up rocks/gravel/dirt/etc. that hit the rockers just ahead of the rear tires. It is hard to keep up with them to keep it looking nice.

I have these also...they were my first purchase...you can see how stealth they are if you look at my pics in the quicksilver thread. They really work great!
