Any factory employees on the message boards? I know they all don't drive Corvettes but surely some do. Back when the frames were being built at Dana in my hometown, I knew one fellow who was the liaison between Dana and the Corvette plant. Lot of good info to be had from someone with a view from he inside.
Evil twin was one of the Chief Engineers building the C5...I believe he is retired and enjoying his grand kids... hasn't been posting for a while but a wealth of info.
That would be nice...a Corvette insider on the forum. I also own a Chevy SSR (besides my Corvette) a personal friend used to be on the assembly line in Lansing, Michigan where the SSR was built. Truly fascinating insight as one would expect. Gives one renewed respect for said vehicle. Keep our fingers crossed for some response. Greetings, Rob
Bill aka ET was our insider...but some on here are so negative he signed off. He may be back, as he does seem to come and go. We can only hope he does check back in as he is a wealth of info on the C5.
Sorry to say guys, but Bill died a few weeks ago - take a look at the thread at the top of C5 General page. I agree that he provided the best insight to our cars - we need to keep he and his family in our thoughts.
