I heard back from Robert Achoe last night asking if he had any any customers who could provide any feedback on the fit and finish of his product and his response was "no". I will be following this thread for more details.

Can you elaborate a little more on what they mean by that?
Yet they are using the same pictures as MCM?
Yes, same pictures as MCM on their sites - but apparently these hoods are not made using MCM molds.
TKO performance replied stating that theirs was actually not carbon fiber and they were going to correct their ad. The other vendor (modified corvettesonline.com) stated that their hood is carbon fiber however not the same style as the MCM hood photos that I sent him. I am still waiting on pictures back from him, however just for curiosity at this point.
Not that it matters in any way, but it's lunch time and my mind is wandering here at work..........How did two (seemingly?) totally unrelated vendors end up with a pretty much word for word description of the product on their site?

No idea however agree completely that it's very odd. I am guessing they got the description and pictures from their (likely the same) supplier...
Oh well...
I have heard all of this before.
I am one of the few who ponied up when MCM hoods were
still available.
No regrets, now. Although I felt like I was paying a lot at the
time.
It's still a fine hood.

When I had mine painted, they couldn't believe the quality and lack of prep necessary.
