My '04 just turned over 152,000 miles yesterday!
I love it and I use it.
Like the commercial says, Don't fear the wear and tear.....BE IT!!
Good deal for you having fun ,the other ones with no miles I'll call them coffee table Corvettes . The building were we have our club meeting the guy who owns it has 5-6 all years Corvettes some with 3-400 miles C-2s C-3s and some newer ones some have not been moved in years they just sit with a cover on them ..We all look at things different but damn what a waste . Might see you on the road..
My guess is there's quite a few under 10K still out there. I've been on the hunt for just one of the C5Z years - 2003 - in just one color - black - to replace my C5 that was totaled while I sat at a stop light in December. I've seen about 3 dozen black on black 2003's for sale over the past 4 months time frame with well under 10K miles on them. Most sold before I could make an offer. The rest were just very overpriced. So I'd say there have to be quite a few C5 Z06 garage queens still out there ...
My '02 has ~16K miles on it. My buddy Tommy has ~12-14K miles on his car.
I think the cars either have very low miles, or high miles, probably not a lot in between unless a low mileage car changed owners who drive it more regularly. I think they are either regular drivers, or garage queens. I do agree there are probably still quite a few garage queens.
As rbartrick said, some have multiple vehicles. I also work from home, so mileage on all my vehicles is probably lower than most. But they get driven... I just don't drive the Vettes in poor weather, typically. But here in N. Texas that's not that many days.
I have two other DD's... i don't drive mine to work or to the store, etc, but I refuse to not drive something I love so much b/c of mileage. I'll continue to enjoy it and take it on weekend road trips/cruises/to the mountains b/c I simply enjoy operating the machine.
I bought my 03 from a 1 owner with less than 12k on it. I bought it in February and the weather is starting to break only had it out about 3 times and I have already put over 800 miles on it. I saw this on a group just thought I would share it...not trying to offend anyone just a little laugh, because I plan on driving the wheels off of this girl.

The Forum’s software is set up to block certain words and terms we consider to be inappropriate for use on the site. Typically, the words and terms included are those that are crude, vulgar and/or involve racial epithets.
That does not mean the software will block all inappropriate words or phrases. Setting it up to do so would be an exercise in futility because we wouldn’t be able to identify everything that should be included or the exceptions when the term or phrase would be acceptable in a particular context.
Altering the spelling of words/terms to bypass the blocking feature of the software is in conflict with Forum rules. Moderators try to show some tolerance if the word/term is altered enough so as not to be blatant. As a guideline, moderators often will ignore an otherwise inappropriate word or term so long as at least two letters of the word/term have been omitted or changed to symbols, although that should not be interpreted as a license to sprinkle inappropriate language with symbols in a thread.
Moderators cannot ignore words/terms (even with altered spellings) that are used to convey hostility toward other Forum members.
It's also inappropriate, of course, to introduce inappropriate language to the Forum via images or links. Members who quote the inappropriate links/images or comments in their reply, are held equally accountable as the member who originally posted it.
The judgment of moderators will be final in such issues because the moderators are charged with using their best judgment in maintaining a level of civility that ensures the Forum is a fun and friendly place for Corvette enthusiasts to hang around.

Because some people have multiple cars, motorcycles, boats, etc. and limited time to use them.
Agree with this 100%...my 04 Z06/Z16 has 40K miles on it, the 82 Two-Tone has 36K original miles on it...BUT our new jet skies, bought last summer, have under 10 hours on them! I'VE GOT MORE HOURS ON MY RIDING MOWER THAN THE JET SKI and they were bought the same month! Definitely need to get my priorities straight this summer!
Corvette enthusiasts vary in age income and personality. Some drive daily, some live for car shows, some race, some are are preservationists and many enjoy their Corvettes in combination with these factors. I don't understand why one type would criticize another when the common thread is love of a great American automobile.
