[insurance help] just had a wreck in my C5

Just got my screw up fixed about a month ago, yeah the insurance company wanted to total it but the body shop worked to keep that from happening. I talked to him about insurance companies and he said that Progressive was by far the worst for him to have to deal with. They try to get him to use after market parts and argue labor costs. Mine with 144k miles I wouldn't have settled for less than $13k plus $1k deductible without litigation.

Haha yeah I can laugh now but that was a very embarrassing moment in my life. But the cops that showed up were helpful and friendly about the situation. Couldn't have made a better choice on a body shop, those guys did an awesome job.

Just a side note, when I bought the car I borrowed $10,000 but after the loan officer looked at the car she said that she would have loaned more but I already paid down the rest so that's all I borrowed. So the way I figure, just because the book value states the loan value or the value of the car as what it should sell for that's not always the case. I couldn't replace mine for $10,000 so I wouldn't have took that as a settlement if I would have had to total the car.
