Gauge Cluster Issue
Took the Vette out fro a quick drive this afternoon. About 10 min into the ride I pressed the fuel button and all my gauges went dead and the DIC just showed AAAAAAAAA. I pulled over turned the car off and then started it back up and within seconds it was back to doing this. I was able to drive home where i proceeded to disconnect the battery. When I reconnected the battery the display was back to normal with all gauges working... I hope it was just a glitch or a loose ground, just curious is anybody else has seen this .

I have not seen that problem before... If it does it again maybe start checking some grounds and wiring out.

Hadn't seen it.. but there is a lot I haven't seen. I think I would look at the codes to see if something popped up.

I noticed you or someone else put in trim rings in the IPC. When was this done? Very possible a connector between the IPC and DIC buttons is loose or a terminal pin.
If it were an overall power issue or ground you would see other issues also.
May also be your DIC display is on the out. Time will tell.

i fixed it the exact same way you did.
the problem has not since returned and my car is a daily driver. So its driven all the time. Not left sitting

I fixed it the same way the guy that posted the thread did
I disconnected the negative on the battery. Waited 5 minutes. Reconnected the negative to the battery and the problem went away and has not returned

Gotch ya... didn't really fix anything, but the problem disappeared. Hopefully it stays gone.

They got lucky that rebooting the electronics fixed it. A lot of times I recommend that. Just like what one has to do with a computer sometimes.
