Default Unknown connector

I searched around however could not figure out what this connector is for. It is located on the passenger side next to the air cleaner, and has been disconnected as long as I had the car. There is nothing nearby that it could connect to, so it seems whatever it was, it removed some time ago. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

For air temp sensor. Used on auto HVAC (CJ2) cars. You have the manual HVAC system?

Hi LoneStarFRC. I am not familiar with manual HVAC, and could not find anything on it online or in the owner's manual. Can you please elaborate?

As soon as I typed the info and posted, I remembered the U/H light. The air temp sensor is located near there on the CJ2 cars.

For future reference, there are 2 different HVAC systems used:

RPO code CJ2 = Auto (allows setting temps for driver and pass side)
RPO code C60 = Manual (has three rotary ***** on control panel)

Of these two systems, the C60 is far and away the less troublesome overall. Your RPO code list is inside the glove box door lid.
