That's not an impossibly high number, but I have to ask...do they use US gallons up there or Imperial gallons?
It makes about a 20% difference: 30MPG (Imperial) is only 25MPG (US).

Gas in Canada (at least in B.C.) is sold by the litre.
Has the OP ever tried the Chevron 94 octane, no ethanol gas? I buy it when I travel into BC and it definitely makes a difference in my supercharged '02. But it's pretty expensive compared to the "normal" premium.

Even at 27.5 MPG, that's not bad. You forgot to mention whether your car is an A4 or a six speed. If an A4, that is really good. If a six speed, it's a bit on the lower side of what they are capable of.
It is a A4 Vert ,would a 6 speed not get better mileage? though gas is the cheapest thing you put in toy cars, I am just amazed at the performance and economy, and it is 13 year old technology.
