shifter light automatic won't go off
just wondering if anybody could help with a problem I Have A c5 2004 vette with a automatic transmission for some reason the shifter light that illuminates What gear your in ( p-r.n.d.2.1. )does not want to go off regardless of how long I wait Or after the doors being shut engine turned off ......I made sure dimmer switch was in correct position..all other interior lights work as They should.. one day it was fine next day I noticed the problem please help

The BCM grounds that circuit to cause the light to illuminate. Either the BCM is the problem or you have a short to ground between the light and the BCM.
I would first try and disconnect the battery for a few minutes and see if you can reboot the BCM to see if that helps.

thank you .appreciate your time and your knowledge !! ..I have tried to disconnect the battery but no luck ...a schematic would be great ..it would beat walking into this problem blindfolded. again thank you
