Even better get a second person to hold down the resistor with a toothpick or end of a pencil. That allows you to hold the soldering iron more steady with two hands. Those things will move in a heartbeat.
And be sure to use some flux, then wipe off the excess afterwards with alcohol and a cotton swab. I did not use flux first time and the solder did not flow real good
