Took me about 7 hours to finish. I still need to buy a plug for the wide band. Other than that. On start up it would smoke crazy. After it burned out the crap inside. It gives a strong odor (fuel) or whatever it is. But it sounds great. Haven't taken it out for a drive yet. Maybe tomorrow when I'm sober. Lol. Now I'm in the hunt to see where my Z is. Dyno time finally. No more street tune. I hope I find a place this weekend. Am I able to drive it like this without a tune? I don't know. But so far I'm happy. I bought the Kooks then I sent them to get coated . I want to thank my jack stands, my craftsman tools, and beer for helping me know my car better.

coating looks badass... I should have had my whole exhaust coated before I put it on but didn't have the extra money for it at the time, that would have put the system over 2 grand after getting the whole thing coated... why are you opposed to a street tune?... mine was done that way and will be from here on out... I would rather the car run right than be chasing a number on a dyno

I want to see where the motor i had built is. Not doing any more mods. ( I think ) Peace of mind. Money wise...
Nothing against street tune. Its going to be my first time at the dyno. I myself am not chasing numbers. But with the built I planned out. I want to see the results i worked for. Thanks

I saw many SS headers that would change appearance without the coating. So I did fork out the extra mula I had saved for a WHILE. It has a coating inside the headers as well (black). I didn't do the inside of the x pipe because it wasn't recommended by the coating company. But thanks again for the nice comments.
Be aware that your coating could discolor on the dyno due to excessive heat. I haven't confirmed this with my coated LG Pro's - I had them coated locally as well but haven't installed them yet. The coating company warned me that the heat of dyno'ing could discolor the coating. They recommended that, if am dead-set on dyno-ing with the headers installed, have the tuner blow lots of cool air directly on the headers during the tuning session to minimize the chance of overheating the coating.
I've had headers before but never dyno'ed with them on the car so I can't speak to this from personal experience. Normal use generally does not see the temps you can generate on the dyno is what the tech told me.
Thanks fellas. The dude I'm going to has been doing this for a while. I'll let him know of the coating part. I took it for a drive this morning and it sure felt like it has no restrictions. Sounds and feels a whole lot different.
Here's a short video. Excuse the shaking and the quality. I wasn't prepared to record. The files are saved so I can post the numbers up later this week. I didn't know what to expect from the dyno. I don't know if they are good or bad numbers. But im happy that it runs great. Thanks for looking.
