Header install what's needed...
Just purchased kooks 17/8 with off-road x pipe. Other than a tune and new gaskets what's required for the install. Anything needed for emissions delete. Like egr delete or air pump. Also any tips for the install wouldn't hurt either. I have done headers on a ls1 Camaro and lt1 Camaro. Thanks!

Installation tip. Be prepared to unbolt motor mounts and move engine up and side to side to get the 1 7/8 to go in. Doesn't seem like much size difference but compared to 1 3/4 headers its night and day.

I have 1 7/8 and didn't have to move the motor mounts. The driver side was a little fussy but the passenger side will fall out of the bottom if I don't hold it. Does your have the egr on them? You can block them off and tune it out but you don't really need much.

The headers do not have any emission hook ups. However will I need to block off the egr valve? My Camaro the air pump was removed and the egr valve stayed in just put something to block it.

Yeah you can drive it all day long without a tune but get a tune asap to get the full effect of the mods. Some people don't tune and others run lean right away. I wouldnt be doing any wot pulls anytime soon though
