I have a 2001 convertible and my sun visors are getting pretty ratty. I found some leather covers on E-BAY that look cool. Has anyone tried these? Are they any good?

I have them on now, the fit around the mirror is not snug.Otherwise they provided the need that I needed. Now that being said, Dave at DJMOTORSPORTS had some good ones that I've had too. The problem is getting ahold of him, the fit was perfect,it's just that my top is always off and after about 6yrs they faded. L8R ZFLASH
I just got a set from Vette Candy on Ebay. They are black with blue stitching and the leather is nice. Unfortunately the holes cut for the vanity mirrors are to big but the vendor is sending me a new set without the opening cut so I can do it myself to get a nice fit. Others have complained about this same problem so I'd suggest ordering them without the vanity mirror opening.
I bought my leather sun visor covers from KARDESIGNERS on eBay. I did the HomeLink visor mod and then re-stitched the original visor by hand. I then used leather covers which helped to fix the floppy ears on the original visors. The fit was good and tight and the leather is top quality.
Pics are with the driver side visor cover installed and the passenger side cover as received. I used double-sided foam tape around the vanity mirror cut-out.
Where did you pick up the double sided foam tape? and did you take the vanity loose from the visor?
Thin double-sided foam tape can be found at walley world or any craft store.
I put the visor into the leather cover without taking the vanity mirror cover off. The mirror cover then fit through the cut out in the leather with no problem. I used the double-sided tape on the four edges of the cut out in the leather to keep the leather smooth against the original visor behind it. Otherwise, it would gap (see lower left hand corner of mirror cover in the middle picture). Pictures are before using the double-sided tape.
