I'm using a Sears AGM battery (larger size). Going on two years now, no problems.
Had a NAPA in it when I bought the car in 2012. It crapped out at two years old.

I wanted another P3 but they stopped making it for some reason. The Duracell I have on order now is even stronger a battery than tbe P3 and the same weight.

I've known 5 people that have used optima in cars, boats and off road uses and I have never heard anything good about them, yellow, red, or blue top. So i have always stayed clear of them.
I just put in a Duralast AGM from autozone so we will see how long that last...

At the marina I keep my boat several people used optima batteries and they were very poor. I know one person that contacted optima to complain and they told him he has to keep the battery on a tender when not in use. Great idea if you were on a slip, but on a mooring... not possible.
I also just bought an Duralast (gold) battery, interested to see how long it will last.

Optima Yellow Top in mine, been in there for 4 1/2 years, no issue I have it on e C-TEK battery tender when not driving, as with my other cars.
I don't want to have a battery that could leak with all the electrics right under the battery compartment. So far the Yellow Top has worked perfectly well.
