Default Rear Tires Light Up on this Epic C5 Corvette Burnout

The danger involved in pulling off this Corvette burnout certainly raises the stakes quite a bit. Just watch when the rear passenger tire on this C5 starts to light up.

It looks and sounds like the rear pad burned off, resulting in less resistance and causing the engine to rev up a bit.

Someone's gonna need new pads and probably rotors and calipers.

At least use a line lock!!!

If you want to play you got to pay...for line locks. Looks likely a ricer with his first real sports car. Total clown.

What is stopping the car from going forward? The driver stepping on the brakes simultaneously with the gas pedal?

"power braking" burn outs have always seemed boring and pointless to me, BUT still more exciting than videos most could post of their vettes and how they drive them , ie sitting at a cruise in or car show or going over it in the garage with a California duster

Yes , that is why the rear caught fire in the first place.

You can see in the second camera angle hes clearly holding down the brakes.

The guy is frying his engine in my opinion.

Dude took front rims and tires and tossed them out back. You can tell by tire height. Probably burning up old wheels. Stupid imo, one of them blow and that qp is wrecked lol

Engine is fine as long as you watch the temp. Rotors, pads and calipers are another story. Those piston seals on them calipers no longer exist lol

Either more bucks than brains, or the car doesn't belong to the driver.

And what is with the stupid narratives on these CF feature articles?

Yesterday I saw the article on Jeff Gordon driving a new Z06 pace car, which said Gordon is a "5-time NASCAR winner." He has 92 wins and 4 championships. Oops.

Now it's this article, "Rear tires light up on this Epic C5 Corvette Burnout." Anyone paying attention will notice that the tire does not light up. It's the brake pad that's on fire. We on CF are not clueless chumps who think the tire, wheel, brake, and hub are all the same thing. Yes these details matter when you're the premier internet Corvette forum.

Who is editing this material before it's published?
