Default Does 93 octane control knock

in 100 degree heat? I know you sometimes cant hear it-I have read that only 94 and above controls KR in hot weather-

Obviously the higher the octane the more knock protection you will have. But if you are running a stock car with stock tune 93 will be safe in the summer heat. Now if you have a modded car with a tune and you can hear knock you definitely need to get a new tune.

In 100degree weather, your ECM will pull timing to keep things under control

I know it will--what i have read is that at 100 deg. air.inlet temp it will pull 1.5 deg--at 103 2 deg. up to a total of 8 deg.--but with 93 octane is that enough so it doesnt get KR and pull more timing?
