We are having a difficult time making a decision on vehicle purchase -
A) 2003 34000 mile immaculate 100% all anniversary - colors, registry, dual roof panels, etc.
B) 2005 higher on miles at 77k also excellent well kept almost immaculate
I have pricing n GMEPP for both 2005s and can extend and xfer that....can't do that with the 2003. Pricing is close so that I don't care bout the price part.... this is about the car.
What would you pick? Honestly these are tied in the decision process!

It really is about which one you like better as simple as that seems. If I was looking for a C6(and I'm not), I would not consider the 2005. First year of the C6 and you don't mention if its auto, but if so it uses the same 4 speed as the C5.Not enough upgrading until you get to 2008 and beyond>>>

The are both automatics, and there is no like better - tied for many reasons. That's why I'm asking over here in C5, I have the C6 crew's inputs.
I've had both - -performance is about the same and interior space/ride similar.... it really does come down to personal preference - - I think the Anniversary car is a bit more unique and certainly with lower miles, would probably get my nod.
You have a tough choice, I'd need to drive the C6. 77K is still pretty low if it was treated well. I wanted manual, the only C6 in my price range was silver with 165k miles. So it was easy to go with a red C5 with 45k. But in your boat, I might be tempted to get the C6.

The 03 is anniversary red and anniversary shale interior. Dual tops, HUD, etc also registered.
The 05 is black on black, solid targa, nav, dvd, hud, LS2.....
best records - 2003 he even laminated the window sticker
05 has nothing but the owners manual kit
single owner is the 2003, the 2005 has 3 owners
As for dealers - In Florida you have to divorce that.... my experience here is that if you buy from private and don't have a mechanic you absolutely trust you might as well go to Vegas and play blackjack.
so dealers tend to keep it safer..... so who has what isn't in this equation.... it's which car
Here's one thing - the 2005 will likely have over 90K miles within the next 5 years ...will I be able to sell it without losing my butt and will it sell easily (1month)
same question for the 2003 which will have probably 45-50K on it.....

Just on the color alone I'd go with the C5, but the difference in mileage would also be a factor in my decision. The AE car is pretty much loaded the way it sits. About the only C6 I really would like to own is either a Z06 or a GS so I still would go with the C5.
It comes down to personal preference and the body style you like more if price isn't an issue. Me personally I'd go with the C5. It's older but it's also a later gen for the C5. With the 2005 it's a first gen car so there are bound to be more issues than you would find with a later gen C6.

Good luck with either choice !
I like both colors, admittedly each has it's own 'image' the anniversary colors are somewhat subdued and not "tough guy" that one would expect from a performance car. However the black does do exactly that.
I like both styles so that won't work lol..... and I have thought about that the 05 is first in the series and the issues that are potentially there. ...
I'd go for the C5 because of the lower miles and the better (in my very personal view) color. I also like the one-owner / low miles factor on the C5. Finally, I have a slight preference for the looks of the C5 but they are both GREAT cars and, unless you get a car that has been abused, you can't go wrong either way.

I'm probably slightly biased as an owner of a 50th Anniv Ed vert but
the highlighted points and the lower mileage are icing on the cake --
the 2003 would be my choice.
