That this is therapeutic?
It's a great driver, fast as all get out, but I'm happy just working over the paint while having a beer on my first day off in a week. Not shown is the PC7424, orange and white pads, Menzerna IP and FP, and Zaino.

IMO, Nope....not wrong at all. We have the best of both worlds. We have a car we love to drive and a car we love to detail and a car to just look at and enjoy it just "being there".

Polishing stuff. The car needed it bad. I have some minor scratched and water spots that aren't playing nice.

When I turn the key in the ignition I call it stress relief.

I had those problems. My body shop owner told me to get "System 51". It's a very light rubbing compound product that takes out light scratches and water spots quickly. Also works great for bee pollen droppings. Then I just follow up with some detail spray and I'm good to go.
Nothing beats paint correction, clay bar treatment, paint polishing, etc. but since I've already had that done last year, touch ups have been minimal since that detail session.

I get a lot of stress relief detailing and working on my car. I think what you are experiencing is part of Corvette ownership.

I have been using Zaino for years, but thinking of switching to the Comet System.
